Scroll Mapping
The conceptual investigation and the material strategy of each scroll were separated and considered independent parts in order to conduct a comparative analysis of both elements in the five scrolls. The extracted conceptual matter was then
reduced to the form of statements in an attempts to reveal the underlying inner most logic. Parallels were identified as well as incongruencies as the potential elements for a collective investigation. Through the suspension of meaning within
the analysis of the material strategy, basic techniques are able to be classified into families based solely on their physical operations. After the breakdown and classification of both the material logic and the conceptual driving force behind
each individual investigation, common denominators are identified as the potential qualifiers and techniques for a synthesized conceptual investigation to be reintroduced via a more complex material strategy.
