Cau Long Bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam was chosen as the site for the development of the project. The bridge constructed by Gustave Eiffel in 1903 is a 1800m steel structure connecting the eastern part of Hanoi to the old market area. It offers space for a train, bicycles and scooters only. More importantly, the bridge interfaces with an agricultural isle in the middle of the river, which is used seasonally as tides allow. Along its length, the bridge houses small market conditions, and as a connection to the lower isle, for the transport of the goods produced there. The project aims to take advantage of this intense market/transport condition, and heighten its characteristics through a dynamic architectural proposal. Following drawings collect data and propose conditions arrived at through inflections of the line of the bridge.
